CROOK COUNTY Greater Idaho meeting
Sep 21, 2021, 6pm: on the third Tuesday of every month at Calvary Baptist Church, 2241 N Main St, Prineville.
All are welcome to attend. We will discuss how we can advance the movement locally. We are making reports on the pros and cons of moving the Oregon/Idaho border, so input and experts in particular areas such as taxes, ranching, water masters, farm deferral, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Official County Board Meetings
Voters passed ordinances requiring the County Court or Board of Commissioners to meet regularly. It’s up to the commissioners to choose a time and place. Sometimes you’ll find information about the meeting on the county website. Some allow you to teleconference.
Most will allow a public comment time when attendees can try to convince the commissioners and anyone listening (sometimes journalists) why they should join the movement to move the Oregon/Idaho border, so please attend if you can. We also want to ask the county commissioners in eastern Oregon to get the Eastern Oregon Counties Association to issue a press release in support of moving the border.
Lake: fourth Wednesday of every January, May, and September
Union: second Wednesday of every February, June, and October
Baker: second Wednesday of every March, July and Nov
Grant: first Wednesday of every April, August, and December
Jefferson: third Wednesday of every February and August (only twice a year)
Malheur: second Monday of every January, May, and September
Sherman: the measure was approved by voters, but does not require meetings.

JEFFERSON COUNTY Commissioners' meeting on Greater Idaho
February 16, 2022 (Wednesday)
Our goal for this meeting is to convince the Commissioners and onlookers (and any press that might be there) that moving the border would be good for Jefferson County. We also want to ask the County Commissioners to get the Eastern Oregon Counties Association to issue a press release in support of moving the border. Also let them know that we did reach out to the Warm Springs tribal council, but didn’t hear back.
You can learn how to attend the meeting at the County’s website: www.jeffco.net/administration/page/board-commissioners-special-meeting-11
Deadline for submitting signatures for a May Election
Feb 16 2022 (but you need to get them to us days ahead of time so we can count, collate, and submit them to the county clerk by then).
We don’t lose any signatures if we fail to meet this date. If we miss the February date in a county, we can keep gathering signatures at least a couple more weeks for the November 2022 Election. The final deadline is March, April, or June 2022, depending on the county.
