Morrow County Commissioner's Meeting

March 04, 2026

This Wednesday, March 4th, is your opportunity to come hear what's happening with Greater Idaho as well as let your commissioners know what action you want them to take towards moving the border so Morrow County can join Idaho. The meeting starts at 9 am with the Greater Idaho discussion set to start likely around 10. A representative from our movement will zoom in to present to the commissioners as well as answer questions. Please plan on joining us at the Bartholomew Building at 110 N Court St, Heppner. If you can't make it in person, you can also join by zoom at https://zoom.us/j/81416385064

This last session, Oregon Legislators declined to move either of the Greater Idaho bills that could have moved a border change forward, despite the co-sponsorhip of several Eastern Oregon representatives and a letter requesting action from state senators, including Senator Nash. Reprentative Smith was not a co-sponsor of our legislation. Our movement has reached out to Rep. Bentz as well about getting federal support and help from the administration but have not been able to get a meeting with him. Commissioners could request that he meet with us and help advocate for the voters he represents. Lastly, commissioners can also advocate with the Eastern Oregon County Association to write a letter of support for moving the border.

And remember that you can always directly advocate for Greater Idaho by contacting Representative Smith and Senator Nash and asking them to support our legislation at the legislature. You can contact them at the following e-mails.

See you Wednesday!
