To date, 13 Eastern Oregon counties have passed Greater Idaho measures asking to look at moving the border.  The Oregon Legislature has refused to move bills in either the House or the Senate moving this idea forward, and the Governor has ignored our requests for a meeting.  Our movement believes that the best path forward for getting the border moved is in gaining federal intervention to compel Oregon to come to the negotiating table with Idaho.  We have requested intervention from the Trump administration and are requesting Rep. Bentz to host a delegation of Greater Idaho leadership in Washington DC to discuss what that intervention could look like.  So far, Rep. Bentz has refused our offer and has yet to even meet with us.  We are asking our commissioners to request that Rep. Bentz would sit down with our team and advocate for his constituents who have voted for Greater Idaho.  In addition, commissioners could ask for the Eastern Oregon counties association to put out a joint statement advocating for movement on the issue.
